About the event
Acoustics is an often misunderstood engineering discipline in South Africa due to minimal regulatory drive or enforcement regarding noise and interior noise levels concerning building facades, internal partitions, internal fit-outs, and building services noise and vibration control. The acoustic services responsibilities are left to the project team, who may have limited experience in acoustics or noise control, and end up costing the client more or becoming a permanent issue on the project affecting revenue and reputation.
Acoustic engineers typically form part of a professional team for building projects in many European, Asian, Australasian, Middle East and US regions, thus international best practice will be raised throughout the presententation.
